A couple of weeks ago I found this notebook (the picture below) at Target and I love it soo much. I didn't end up buying, because, I sort of hoard notebooks and I didn't want to spend the money. Taking a picture of it helped and today it kinda inspired me. Simply looking at it pretty much says it all:
Ok it misses one thing (at least) it misses the complexity of rebellion. The noun "rebel" has a bad connotation, but the word isn't bad. We all love the American revolution rebels (circa 1776). However today, it usually means a teenager with an attitude not a visionary wih challenging counter-cultural questions.
A question I like to ask myself is why am I a rebel? My answer? I am a rebel against current culture and against the darkness of this world. Do I forget this? Yes, far to often. I wear my baseball cap backward just for my enjoyment. Not a worthy purpose I assure you. My aspiration is be a better Rebel. The right kind of Rebel. The kind like George Washington, Robert E. Lee and others.
So by all means be a Rebel. Just keep your chin up and remember your mission, your enemy and your King.
